The first day took us to Salt Lake City. We stopped at the salt flats because why wouldn't we?! We were all amazed. I had seen them before but not for several years. As far as our eyes could see was flat, white salt.

Eme found us a great park to stop at for lunch and an extended play break in Green River, Wyoming. There was a splash pad, an old caboose, and a bridge to an island across the river with its own playground. Fun times!

4 days, 1900 miles, 6 states, 20 state troopers, 0 speeding tickets, 25 moving trains, and 27 lane closures. What an adventure! The kids were kept busy with audio books (Little House on the Prairie and The Adventures of Buster Bear) and movies (Snoopy Come Home and Frozen), and scratch off tickets for various games and prizes and special snacks. We had awesome weather, beautiful scenery, excellent travellers, and awesome drivers :) We all agreed we would do it again.
