Hiking with the Big Trees

On Jonathan and Eme's last day here, we went hiking with them at Big Trees State Park. Boy, those were some big trees. To start our hike, since the trail head parking lot was mysteriously closed, we ventured across a log fallen over the river.

According to the guide, which Jonathan faithfully read, the best way to fully experience the bigness of the trees is to lie down underneath the branches and look up. Betsy tried it. It wasn't quite what the guide made it out to be.

After hiking on Daddy's back for about 3 hours, Justin fell asleep after 5 minutes on Uncle Jonathan's back. Apparently it's more suited for sleeping.

Ahhh, the long hike is over. Justin enjoyed the fresh air, and even relieved himself while standing there (pretty darn cute!)
