We almost didn't make it because of Portland's huge snow storm. They very seldom get large amounts of snow and aren't prepared for it. I think there was around a foot (maybe more?) of snow! Note the tools in the picture above: garden rake, hoe, mini emergency shovel.Our nephew, Alex, ready to throw a snowball at me!
