Fun in Reno

We drove yesterday to Reno. It was an exciting drive. It had been snowing in the Sierras all weekend and it took us 6 1/2 hours to drive the normally 3 hour drive. We were stopped for a while over the pass and we got to get out and play in the snow a bit while we waited for traffic to move again. We played (and sang) Christmas music, Justin watched the Christmas Mickey Mouse cartoons and we eventually made it safe and sound. We were all excited to arrive at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

First thing this morning Justin was anxious to go outside and begin building a snowman. Grandpa tried his hardest but the snow just didn't stick together. He even tried spritzing the snow with water to try and get it to stick together but that didn't do the trick either. We came back inside to wait for it to warm up a bit more.

Luckily Grandma had a special activity in store for Justin. They took walnut shells, preserved leaves and play dough and created sail boats. They were really neat and Justin had a lot of fun sailing his boats in the water.

The fun has just begun!
