Banishing the Gray

The rain has finally come. So far it is welcome and a nice change of pace from all the warm, sunny days we've been experiencing (after all, you can't truly appreciate the sun until you've had some rain, right?).

We decided today was the day to use up the gallon of paint that's been patiently waiting in the garage for over a year. When we first moved in, my Dad and I painted most of the living room and kitchen. But there was one wall and the entry way that we never got around to that week. What a difference! It really brightens things up in the room even more. Bye, bye gray!

Another project for the rainy day was helping Justin cook dinner. We are trying out 2 new recipes from the cookbook we gave him for Christmas. On the menu is:
