Preschool Graduation

Justin has officially graduated from preschool! He has spent this past year attending a parent co-operative preschool. There was a main teacher (Teacher Nancy) and the parents rotated helping out each school day. Our family loved being part of it (especially Justin!). It was sad to see the year come to an end.

Because of a family trip (more on that coming up soon!), Justin missed the last week of school. But Teacher Nancy had a personalized graduation for Justin on his last day. We were so proud, and Justin was so cute!

Teacher Nancy adjusts the tassel on Justin's cap as he sits in front of the class in his special graduation chair at the beginning of the final circle time:

All school year we've sung "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong at the beginning of the last circle time of the day, so everyone knows it well.

"I see skies of blue Clouds of white...."

"...I see friends shaking hands Saying 'How do you do...?'"

"...What a wonderful world!" And at the end of the song, getting "jazz hands" ready!

Next, Justin sang his favorite song that he learned this year in front of the whole class and all the parents (the video is actually a retake done after school...Dave got stuck in traffic and missed the original performance). It's a bit hard to hear. Also, when you see Justin smile as he gets to "one for the dame" it's because his friends mommy gave Dave bunny ears to get him to smile. Unfortunately it worked so well he momentarily forgot the next line!

Next, Teacher Nancy presented Justin with his "Me Book" (each parent is required to put together a scrapbook of the year...I had a lot of fun making it but I'm so glad it's done!) I love Justin's impressed face. It had a Spiderman theme because he spent most of the school year as one super hero or another, and it all began with Spiderman!

And that's it! He's no longer a preschooler. On to Kindergarten!
