Part 10: Life in the Wild

No trip to Yellowstone would be complete without wildlife. Although we didn't get to see a moose, we did see grizzly and black bears, many elk and bison, pronghorns, mountain goats, chipmunks, squirrels, mule deer, white tailed deer and a variety of birds.

In the meadow adjacent to our campsite, bison slept and roamed day and night. Elk were also abundant.

Heading out of Gardiner a little north towards Billings, Montana to stay for the night.

That concludes the Yellowstone portion of our trip. After a quick stop overnight in Billings (at an actual hotel...yippee!!), we'll head out of Montana, through Wyoming, and into the Black Hills of South Dakota.
