Two days after we arrived in Minnesota, Justin turned 6 (June 13)! It was the first time he'd ever had a birthday celebration with his Minnesota clan. We partied all day long, starting with...

...then it was on to a birthday breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes!!
Elissa and my mom putting the final touches on the cake: Justin had requested a chocolate layer cake with chocolate and vanilla frosting. It ended up being a 4 (yes, FOUR!) layer cake with vanilla and chocolate frostings, topped with jumbo marshmallows. WOW!
We met up with the rest of the family at a indoor/outdoor waterpark.

He was showered with fun gifts from his cousins and family. When we got back to my parents, he went right to work on a dinosaur excavating kit and finished it that same night! He went right to work on his lego's were the next morning (sorry, no pic!).
It was a very happy birthday indeed!
