Sledding, hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows, playing with cousins, shoveling snow (Justin loves doing this and Papa bought him his own shovel to use on the front sidewalk while Papa used the snowblower), seeing the Macy's special 8th floor Christmas display downtown Minneapolis (a tradition for Betsy's family and also for Betsy and Dave when we used to live there), Christmas Eve service at my Dad's church with all the grandchildren going up to light the Christ candle (Micah and Justin actually lighting it), of course opening presents, getting to visit Betsy's grandfather, seeing the extended family on my Dad's side, celebrating my parents' 40th wedding anniversary at Fogo de Chao (an incredible meat-filled experience!), celebrating our niece's 1st birthday (sorry, no pic's...you'll have to head over to my brother's blog to see them), spending time at the family cabin with more sledding, snowman building, a nighttime sleigh ride with the WHOLE family (who has that picture by the way?), gingerbread houses, pinochle, Banangrams, Pit (Dave's first time ever playing), and lots of other hilarious games.
Did I forget anything? Oh yes, Justin put a peanut up his nose and we had to go to the emergency room only to have him blow it out before our turn came (thank you, Lord!). We ended the trip with all 4 of our suitcases being lost for 4 days. We finally got them back today. Whew! We're all exhausted but we had a great time and we already miss all of the family!

What a way to end 2010! Oh yeah, Dave's birthday was in there too. We had one last family celebration at Famous Dave's.

Now we're back home in the rain and green grass. Dave mowed the lawn today. The whole trip is just a white memory.
