Easter Fun and More Outside Projects

Happy Easter! We've had a busy week of preparations and yet more yard work (Dave spends most of his spare time outside doing projects. He gets so much done!) Here's a picture snapshot of our week (some are a bit out of order; I can't figure out how to rearrange photo's after I upload them):

Justin in his cake baking outfit (I especially love the winter boots; they really complete the ensemble). He's standing in front of the oven which holds our Resurrection Meringues that we made last night and were supposed to turn out hollow when we opened the oven door this morning. They failed miserably. I have no idea what we did wrong. Fortunately, Justin completely missed the significance that they were supposed to represent the empty tomb and scarfs them down as fast as we let him.

Also, Justin has been fascinated with the Resurrection Egg set Nana and Papa sent him. He keeps going through all the eggs and asking me what each symbol stands for. We've gone through the whole story/set twice already and he's been asking so many questions. It's hard to word things that make sense to a 3 year old!

Whew! It's been a busy week! And we still haven't had Easter dinner yet! We'll be enjoying Beef Florentine Pinwheels with artichokes and the infamous Easter Cake for dessert!
