Justin's First Time Eating Corn on the Cob

After Justin's last allergist appointment, the doctor told us to test Justin for 3 days in a row on each food he has reacted to. We were a little scared but excited. The first test was wheat (his least reactive food). He went through 4 days no problem! We're still in shock.

Next came corn. At dinner that night, it was Justin's turn to pray. "Dear God," he prayed, "Please help me not be allergic to corn anymore." I thought if God has any heart at all, surely He will answer Justin's prayer! But, as we all know, God's ways our often beyond our comprehension.

BUT...the corn did not make Justin sick! No rash around his mouth, no eczema! Justin proclaimed that the corn on the cob tasted like candy. And the next night his prayer went something like this: "Dear God, thank you for healing me from my corn and wheat allergy." My heart melted. I couldn't help but send up my own prayer of thanksgiving to God for strengthening Justin's faith by answering his prayer.

Next up: dairy, then soy. Those have been his 2 most problematic foods, so we're anxiously awaiting the results. He had butter yesterday and frozen yogurt today. Keeping fingers crossed!
