Early morning at Disneyland straight to Per Pan...with the rest of the early birds! Who knew it was such a popular ride?! Then on to Toad's Wild Ride and Snow White and another trek through Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Justin's request. Then off to Tarzan's tree house (boy there are a lot of stairs!) and Indiana Jones. Justin was a little nervous, but we all enjoyed it. Justin declined to ride it again, however! Yesterday and today the park has been pretty low crowds. We have only had to wait 10 or 15 on a couple rides. Most of the others were just a few minutes wait time. Dave snuck on Matterhorn alone. Then we headed over to California Adventure.

We enjoyed Bug's Land, and Justin became a certified Wilderness Explorer, we met Sully, Goofy, and Pluto (again) and rode on The Little Mermaid ride and Monsters, Inc. Great fun! Justin and Dave got soaked on the river rafting ride (again, Justin declined a repeat ride!). Then we headed back to Disneyland, did a little shopping, rode the Disneyland train, and stopped by Downtown Disney to get Justin a Star Wars gun he had his eye on. Then it was back to the hotel for a bit of a rest before heading back for a fun-filled evening at California Adventure!

Justin was very assertive with Goofy: we were waiting in line, then Goofy had to leave, but Justin went up to him as he was walking away and handed him his autograph book and Goofy signed it!

After dinner, we walked back to California Adventure and used our fast pass on the Radiator Springs Cars ride. WOW!! This ride was amazing. It looks exactly like the movie, and the cars race...we felt like we were going super fast, up and down lots of hills. Unfortunately, we were seated in the back seat with Justin in the middle. He was too short to see out the windshield so he couldn't tell what was coming up. I looked over at one point, and he had a slight grin that I could tell he was holding on his face by sheer will. He was scared out of his wits! Dave and I absolutely loved it, but Justin very adamantly refused to ride it again. The sun was starting to set as we were on the ride, and the golden, rosy light on the Radiator Springs rock formations was stunning! We really felt like we had walked into the movie. The main street strip was also identical to the movie. Disney did a fantastic job on Cars Land!

After riding Mario's Flying Tires (again, lots of fun!) we headed over to our assigned standing area to wait for the laser, light, water, music, and fire show. We weren't sure what we were getting into, it was getting cold, and we weren't allowed to sit down. Justin was ready to call it a day, but we persevered. Boy, are we glad we stayed. The show was amazing. It surpassed anything Dave and I had ever seen before. It was sort of a montage of Disney movies. They used water mist, lasers, and fog to create images. During the Pirates clips, there was even a huge amount of fire...so much so that we were instantly hot from the flames. It was amazing. Long walk back to the hotel, then we all slept like logs until 8:00 am the next morning.
