Disney: Day 3

Leisurely morning, then straight to Disneyland. We met Chip and Dale and Minnie Mouse on the way in. Over in Critter Country we met up with Tigger and Pooh! We rode Winnie's ride, then took the raft over to the Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer's island. Justin loved it! Lots and lots of windy caves with treasures hidden in cracks and crevices.

After lunch we rode Nemo's submarine and Dave and Justin went on Star Tours for the third time! Gorgeous weather today. We took the Disneyland train around the park and stopped by Mickey's cinema for some Steamboat Willie cartoon viewing.

This evening we went on Alice in Wonderland, Roger Rabbit ride in Toon Town (the first time we stood in line for 30 minutes until the ride broke down and we all had to leave!). Then we went on the Jungle Cruise and had dinner in New Orleans square. We planned to go to the parade, but Justin refused. We finally gave up trying to convince him and got in line for the rocketship ride in Tomorrowland. As soon as the parade started, Justin said, "I changed my mind. I actually do want to see the parade now!" So out of line we went and got the best view we could of the parade at this late time. Halfway through the parade, Justin had to go to the bathroom, but he enjoyed the parts of the parade he saw!

By the time the parade was over, the lights of Disneyland were starting to come on, the sun was setting, and the magic of Disneyland took on a whole new level. We took the monorail out of the park, and walked back to our hotel via the Paradise Pier, where we happened to know they have a Disney cartoon viewing room which provided a great break on our walk back.

We bought Justin a pirate sword and he played/fought with it ALL the way back to the hotel and sang "Yo ho, yo ho, it's a pirate's life for me!" all through dinner, all through disneyland, and all the way back to the hotel.
