Disney: Day 4 (Last Day)

Our final day at the parks! We started the day at California Adventure. We walked right on Mater's Junkyard Jamboree spinning tractors, Flik's Flyers, the Francis' Ladybug Boogie, and Tuck and Roll's Drive 'Em Buggies (bumper cars)! Then we saw the 3-D muppet show (very creatively done), and had a repeat of the Monsters, Inc. ride. We had lunch, then rode the Golden Zephyr at Paradise Pier. Then Justin wanted to go back to the Redwood Explorer's area to run around and complete the nature challenges.

Back to Disneyland...

We headed back to Disneyland...our hands down favorite. There is just a more innocent, magical feeling at Disneyland compared to California Adventure, although both parks are amazing. We went to ride the Pirates of the Caribbean one more time. Then we went on the Mark Twain riverboat. Justin kept asking, "Is that Indian (eagle, elk, etc.) real?" We said they were magical Disney creatures. There were lots of ducks on the river and finally Justin said, "I KNOW those ducks are real!"

We were all set for the Pixar Parade at California Adventure. Dave went over early and got a great bench seat for us all. Lo and behold, there was a swarm of bees on a lamp post across the street and they had to cancel the parade! So we went back to Disneyland. Dave finally got the corndog that he has remembered since our last visit in 2010 (with my parents and my nephew, Micah, and nieces, Elissa and Kaitlyn). He claims it is the best corndog he has ever had, and this one lived up to his memory.

 

Every child Justin saw with a pirate sword (or two) he would go up to them and offer to play with them. He had at least four or five sword fights that way! Justin wore his new Mickey pirate shirt today and he got many compliments. He continued to sing, "Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me!" at regular and repetitive intervals.
 

With our final moments at Disneyland coming to a close, Justin and I ran over to see Minnie Mouse's house in Toon Town while Dave got a spot for the Soundsational Parade (the same one we saw part of last evening). I guess we were just in a parade kind of mood! It was even more enjoyable this time. It helped to have good seats! While we were waiting for the parade to start, Justin wandered over to some kids with a bubble gun and "fought" the bubbles. Soon there was a whole group of kids playing in the bubbles!

Justin got really excited when Mickey, Minnie, and Donald, and The Little Mermaid came in the parade. He stood up and waved and loved it when they looked at him and waved back. I think he may have almost swooned when Minnie blew him a kiss :)

After the parade, Justin and Mommy went on Alice's teacups, and then we all went on the rocket ships again. All the lights were on all over Disneyland. It was so magical! Our time at Disneyland was at an end. What great memories we all made!
