Fishing at the River

Today we packed a picnic, a fishing pole, and a book and went down to the river close to our house. We had a great time: I read, Dave fished, and Justin pretended to fish (with a stick for algae) and Koty splashed in the river and ran around us getting us all muddy. Dave even caught a fish, a rainbow trout! There was dappled shade and a light breeze and no one else around.

We saw several of these butterflies drinking nectar from flowers.
(Anyone know what kind it is?)
