Hope Valley

A few days after returning home, we left yet again to spend 3 days in the mountains with Dave's parents. What a beautiful and fun time we had! Dave and Justin got lots of fishing in, and we spent time in South Lake Tahoe, experienced the natural hot springs pool, enjoyed lots of laughter over the game "Spoons" and relaxed in the beauty of our surroundings.

Abby loved the just-her-size adirondack chairs at the resort.

Our house wasn't quite ready when we arrived,
so Dave gave Abby a wheelbarrow ride while we waited

The quaint little house we stayed in

This picture doesn't really show the majesty of the valley we were in.
It felt a little like Yosemite with towering rock cliffs.

Up at Lake Tahoe we had fun visiting a historic summer estate.
this was an old "bus" from the 1920s

There was a large display of games and toys from the 1920s
and both Justin and Abby had a blast exploring them.

A very nice lady taught me how to make a yarn doll. Abby helped at the beginning.

Justin decided he wanted to make one too!

He named his "John"

Abby had fun with the catapult machine

Enjoying a picnic breakfast on our back deck with home grown
yellow watermelon and fresh eggs from our chickens

Dave just couldn't get enough fishing in!

Abby and Justin both had a lot of fun at the park.
