Yellowstone!

Yellowstone is one of our family's favorite National Parks.

Justin was in Kindergarten the last time we were here!

It was Kaitlyn and Elissa's first time, and it was fun to see their reactions.

Dragon's breath is one of our favorite sulphuric spots

The Falls are also one of my favorite spots (but boy was it crowded!!)

Without much cellphone coverage staying together was tricky,

but we found a nice creek to play in while we waited to meet up

with my parents again.

The Grand Prismatic Spring

The first night we stayed in the Snow Lodge, which is in 

the Old Faithful complex. We enjoyed walking through the iconic

Old Faithful Inn.

Justin and I enjoyed a walk after dinner. Old Faithful was late erupting 

so we kept walking but when it finally erupted, we saw it from

a distance with a rainbow on the side.

We enjoyed an early morning walk around the Old Faithful area 

(although crAbby disturbed the natural peacefulness with her wails of

"Up peeze!" "No, Walk!" "Up peeze!" We had her strapped in the 

stroller for safety...one tiny trip and she would be over the edge!)

The next day we spent some time in Teton National Park.

We found a mild hike and the boys enjoyed impromptu swimming

 The second night we stayed in a Lake Village cabin.

 This handsome elk was having his dinner near our cabin, 

ignoring the crowds of tourists taking his picture

We had fun biking around the Lake Village of Yellowstone

We finally saw some infamous wildlife in Hayden Valley

One last ice cream for the cousins before we parted ways the next morning

What do you do when several large bison are standing in the road you want to drive on?

Nothing! 

Our last sites at Yellowstone were the geysers at Norris Basin. 

It was hard to get tired of the awesomeness of the geysers.
